Assistant Coach Pam Recasner
Coach Recasner is a native of Nashville, Tennessee. She ran college track for Fisk University and graduated from Tennessee State University, both in Nashville, Tennessee. She relocated to New Orleans in the summer of 2018. Coach Recasner is an Army Veteran and former police officer. She most recently was a high school educator for the past 14 years teaching Criminal Justice and African-American History while serving as the school’s Head Boys/Girls Track Coach. Coach Recasner was the 2018 All-Area Girls Track Coach of the Year winning the Rutherford County Championships, Sub-Sectionals and Sectionals that year. She had over 30 athletes qualify for the State Championship Meet each year. Coach Recasner was also the 2018 Tennessee Social Studies Council Teacher of the Year. She is currently an Assoc. Dean of Culture at International High School of New Orleans and Head Girls Track Coach.

Jelena or "Coach J" is prettymuch a goddess in her own rights. She competed in NCAA National Championships three times in two events (discus and javelin) and won the javelin in 2003 and 2004 at the C-USA Championships. She is an 11-time All-Conference USA selection and was a member of the Croatian national team in international competitions. She graduated from Tulane University with Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Management and Masters in Liberal Arts and now works at Cintas Corporation
She is married to Derrick Joseph and has two kids: Roko (5.5) and Antonia (1.5)
Jelena has been coaching for over 10years and loves working with kids!
As the former director, Loretta Johnson says, "Our athletes never leave us." Melissa or Coach Mel is a former Metro Stars athlete with a passion for jump events. She is a graduate of Louisiana State University with a degree in Sports Administration. She is a former National Record holder in the Long Jump. She is also a two-time Junior Olympic Medalist and Gatorade All American Athlete.
